The celebration begins with the Pirates' home opener against Coffeyville Community College on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 5 p.m. at Emmot Field in Independence.

As part of the season home opening celebration, admission to the game is free for all Montgomery County residents. Fans who present a valid photo ID or other proof of Montgomery County residency at the ticket gate will also receive a complimentary season voucher valid for free admission to all remaining ICC home athletic events during the 2026-27 season, excluding conference and national tournament contests.

"We're proud to call Montgomery County home, and we want our community to feel like they're a part of everything we do," said Melissa Anderson, ICC Athletic Director. "There's nothing like the atmosphere of a Pirate home game, and we're excited to invite our neighbors to come out, support our student-athletes and help create an incredible home-field advantage all season long. We can't think of a better way to kick things off than by welcoming everyone to our season opener against Coffeyville."

Whether you're a longtime Pirate fan or attending your very first game, now is the perfect opportunity to experience Pirate athletics. Wear your blue and gold, help pack the stands for the rivalry matchup against Coffeyville, and cheer on the Pirates as they open the home season.
